The neon sign points to “Tulsa's Best” Cheese Enchilada & Margarita.
El Rancho Grande Mexican Restaurant has been a Tulsa favorite since 1950, originally located on Boulder before moving to its current spot on Historic Route 66 in 1953.
Now, more than 70 years later, we are proud to say that a number of those early regulars are still our well-treasured friends, greeted by name and a smile. From the historic neon sign that still adorns the entrance of our one and only location, to “Tulsa’s Best” cheese enchiladas and margaritas, we constantly strive to preserve the restaurant’s iconic history.
Other specialties include spicy Chile Colorado, homemade tamales, and the famous Night Hawk combo, named as one of the Five Greatest Mexican Meals in the United States in Gustavo Arellano’s book, Taco USA.
